General President¡Çs Welcome Message

Value ¡Èdecency¡É and develop autonomous thinking power and ability to take actions, to be ¡Èthe only one¡É.
Kibi International University, which started in1990 as a college of sociology with two departments, has grown into a university currently having 6 schools and 11 departments. In addition to this, master's courses and doctoral courses were established for each undergraduate course (note that Graduate School of Conservation and Restoration for Cultural Properties Studies has only master's courses). In 2002, correspondence courses were initiated in Graduate School of Social Welfare Studies. In 2005, Department of International-Comparative Sociology was created in School of Sociology studies as our 14th department. In 2007, Kibi International University restarted as a university with 6 schools and 11 departments.

Kibi International University, having taken a great leap forward in a short time, now in the process of creating tradition towards the achievement of future stability. As the saying goes; ¡ÈA journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step¡É. It took many years for world¡Çs prestigious universities to build good traditions.

I strongly hope that ¡Èdecency¡É will be included in our school traditions. Decency and discipline are the basic requirements to maintain peaceful communities. I encourage students to develop and exercise autonomous thinking power and ability to take actions through active learning instead of passive learning.

We expect students to be dedicated to learning, keeping our philosophy in uppermost mind and heart; ¡ÈOur aim is to maximize students' individual potential and nurture good citizens in both local an international communities¡É. This philosophy helps realize education emphasizing the individuality of each student. We expect you to develop a very distinctive personality in college so that you can be ¡Èthe only one¡É.

We look forward to having young enthusiastic people on board who are willing to actively contribute to society.
